Got my new car. Well new to me. 2001 Ford Mustang.

Going to spend today making various tweaks to the motor, but can't really make any major alterations until I get it inspected tomorrow. After that I plan to overhaul the entire exhaust system by adding a Dual Rear Exit System with Flowmaster Resonators (good for 10-20 hp).

K&N filter (good for 10-20hp)

Catco catalytic converter (good for another 15 or so, but illegal until your car has 50,000 miles on it)

At that point I'll likely bump the timing a degree and a half and see how it goes. Doubt I'll want to get into changing out the rear screws, but if I change my mind I have my eye on what it would be anyways.

I've looked at the world for quite a few years now and I've found that if I don't laugh, I'll probably end up crying.
Oh, and I'll be seafoaming it before any of this to clear out any deposits that have built up.

I know some of these words.

For a second I thought you were going to paint it seafoam.
That would strike me as an unfortunate decision, because of caropinions.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

I don't know what it all is but it sounds like a good time.
It basically means going from 193 hp to around 240 and boosting the 0-60 from 7.7 seconds to around 6.8.
Oddly enough it will also boost the MPG to around 28.

Hey big surprise, it sucks in the snow.

I know this is getting dangerously close to harping on the point, but I legitimately thought you meant HP as hit points in a gracious attenmpt to explain the whole thing in relatable terms. But I soon saw the error of that.

It would be more of a STR attribute, I would imagine.

I like the notion, though.

I just noticed that GE is packaging lighbulbs with "nutrition facts" boxes now--like instead of calories they have lumens.
I'm sure someone somewhere finds that troubling, but otherwise I support this trans-device application of standards etc.
Like gas is MP.
