I'm sorry. My grandmother died recently, so my Mom was having a hard time today too.
On your ending note, I don't garden, but I do have an aloe plant. That's okay, since it is very hard for me to kill. Knocked the pot over last year, it fell out, but a year later and its still going strong. I always meant to name it, but never have.
