At least this time I will be hiring movers. But really I hate packing. I love unpacking, because that is just putting everything where it belongs, which appeals to my OCD and librarian nature. But packing is destructive. Also I'm not that good at it.

I've always found unpacking sort of stressful because there are all these decisions to be made about where everything goes, and depending how long you're going to be living somewhere, that could be "the place x goes" for a long time. Those are some big decisions.

I just hate physically moving the heavy stuff. I like the packing (less clutter in the house, yay!) and the unpacking (chance to put things in sensible places, yay!).
That's why I hired the movers. My family is also ecstatic about that, as usually they get drafted into helping me.

Yeah, packing is the worst. I am not the tidiest with my tchochkas, so I always end up with 1-2 tubs of "crap that wasn't with all the other crap that it kind of resonates thematically with" so it's just a hodgepodge.
I'm also not looking forward to leaving my current place, because I'm not 100% sure my furniture fits without collapsing.

Today I cancelled my Internet, TV, electric, gas, changed my address at the USPS and my bank, got a storage unit and signed the lease for that, booked movers, book a hotel for a trip I'm going on in July...and packed maybe 2 boxes. At least I was productive.
