Was in University City/Drexel for a conference which was super amazing, but I'm sure I talked about the conference last year (when it was in St. Louis and was also super amazing).
In regards to Philly: I don't get cheesesteaks. Like, they are good, and I will eat them, but they are not any sort of amazing, even when you get the best cheesesteak in the city.

It really takes a lot for food to be amazing.
Where did you get the cheesesteak from? It makes a difference!

I got it from Tony Luke's.
But, I dunno, there's no much there to make it amazing. (I disagree with Alex that it takes a lot for food to be amazing, but I guess it does need something.) When you only have 3 ingredients (4 with onions), it's hard to excel.

I like me a good Philly. Everyone I know from south/middle Jersey thinks it's a hole, but I say it's aight.
Also I assume the knowledge you received there was commensurate with the quality of the conference and not the city itself.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

Tony's is where most of the locals go, from what I've been told. But since it's a chain...sort of...thing... apparently the main one is the only good one? I dunno.
I've had Pat's before and it was pretty damn good. Real greesey but good. Like a traditional cheesesteak. Geno's is more like a steak'em I'm told.
