Heard the rain as I was getting into bed last night around 1:00 AM and went upstairs to close some windows. After I saw some lightning, I grabbed my keys and headed to a park nearby to watch the storm. I saw a guy just letting his camera run video to try to get some images and I decided to try it too. Worked out pretty well.
