Oh man I never got it. Sorry dude, but I'll totally join again. It's through Yahoo right? I'll check that email and see if the invite's hiding anywhere

Hmm, apparently yahoo got rid of email and then put it back? I dunno.
If you could send an invite to linkprime5@yahoo.com that would be awesome

Let me take this opportunity to ask something I've never figured out about fantasy football: how are points accumulated? You don't simulate individual games the way one simulates individual fights in Dungeons & Dragons, right?
---
Etic or bust.
The points are accumulated through the actual NFL games that occur that weekend. You are given points based on the game statistics of the player you pick. Say a quarterback throws for 300 yards and three touchdowns. Your team would receive points for the yardage as well as the touchdowns. There is a lot of variance from league to league in terms of what statistics are counted for points, how many points a given statistic is worth, and even bonuses for meeting game-specific thresholds (i.e. a running back rushing for over 150 yards).

Huh, that's an interesting blend of simulation and the real thing. I guess that makes fantasy football a bit more like sports betting than pencil-and-paper RPGs.
