Today was the first meeting, and it went pretty well. We thought about the different types of games (video, board, card, social, computer, tabletop, sport) and which ones were the most difficult to make. Then we brainstormed what made a game bad, and came up with some variations on Tic Tac Toe and tested them out. Then we did some more brainstorming on what our first big project would be. The idea we are going with so far is a mystery game set in our school. Next week we will expand on that more.

Coincidentally, I just recently started tinkering with Panda3D, a game engine for Python. That led to the realization that I need to learn Blender, if only to use it as a level editor. I think I liked POV-Ray better. I'm much more of a programmer than an artist.
