I'm watching it now. It's...super hit and miss.

I watched it with a couple friends on Thursday. I completely agree. It was both super wonderful and also super bad, but it gave it a quality such that I could not stop watching. Carrie Underwood's acting was mostly tragic but her singing is still marvelous.
It was also jarring to hear the songs in their original stage order, rather than the movie version with Julie Andrews.

I saw the stage show when I was young, so I had heard it in that order, though that was a long time ago.
Audra McDonald and Christian Borle are delightful.

It wasn't a musical I ever watched as a kid, so I just can't do it.
Also I endured a really traumatic viewing of The King and I as a young kid and it was literally the most boring thing that ever happened, so musicals with four-word titles are all pretty much out for me.

Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

I wasn't aware. It's something I could maybe get into.
Nope I was struggling through a chem exam.
