My sis is in an (award winning, competition winning) a cappella group and has been doing it for a long time, so I've appreciated it for awhile outside of my own love of singing. Nick Lachey is a terrible host and the judging panel (especially Jewel) loves to revolve between "I can't stand you" and "Please don't ever stop talking," but the majority of the performances are legitimately wonderful. It's also over in just two seven episodes over two and a half weeks, so it's a nice treat to have back.
