I have added some of you on Facebook in hopes that maybe I will guilt myself into talking here more if I see posts of pmsians on Facebook. (I don't actually use Facebook much besides a glorified photo album but it might work)
I usually do come check when I see Alex post a thing! Which is the most frequent occurrence.

I still find the PMS is one of the best places for certain types of things I want to say. Things that I want to talk about with someone but maybe not my coworkers/family/offline friends (Facebook) but also not my online teaching community/the Library of Congress (Twitter).

I've kind of consigned facebook to the loony bin. It's a great place to go if you want to repost sensationalist topics that misrepresent valid ideas and construe them in the most divisive and offensive ways so that you can create social disharmony and blind rage... but if you're not into that scene, it is best just to avoid a lot of facebook.

The main reason I got a facebook was because I moved in the middle of high school. It's a decent way of keeping up with people you don't see on a regular basis anymore, but are still curious about. But I definitely understand the element you're talking about, BUM.

Oh, no doubt, it's a useful site. I use it to kind of keep up with a lot of people I don't really talk to but still care about, and I also use it to keep up with some people I do talk to. I also use it as the chief communication source for a few of us who play dnd.
