So what game should I play (out of ten-year-old WRPGs)?

I just finished my ancient KoToR II dark side save (started in like May 2008), and I've started up a... good, I guess run of Jade Empire (my third). I'm still more or less at the outset of that one, but any suggestions for other games in that vein that run on an X-Box? Or a GameCube I guess.

Really, I just don't have the impetus to buy a newer console, and I can't really run PC stuff because I think my video card is going, if that's a thing.

Yes, that's a thing, and if your video card is going, it's going to keep "going". It's not one of those things where its higher-level functions will shut down but it will still support basic functions. Well, it could be sort of like that; if it's an issue of overheating then it'll work until you work it too hard and it gets hot. Still, usually these things get worse, so you may want to look into replacing it.

That said, don't know any console RPGs for XBox or Gamecube. Sorry! If you do end up with PC games I suggest Deus Ex.

Yeah, that's about right. It can still do like steaming videos, just can't run anything more graphically elaborate than like Age of Kings.

Also, I have Deus Ex II for some reason; I think it was roommate's and he got sick of it. I've played like two hours into that and it's okay; should I keep up with that?

It's not as good as the original, in most peoples' opinions. I think it's a worthwhile game, especially towards the end when the whole diverging plot choices pay off.

K. I will give it a go, then.

Also, speaking of video cards: can I just sorta grab a video card and chuck it into my box, or are there specs I need to pay attention to? Like power hogging and stuff?

Yeah. Your motherboard needs to have the proper slot (it almost certainly does, but who knows... you should check) and your power supply has to be big enough (the wattage should be printed on it) to power the card.
